A strange and beautiful thing.

ree

Wow, hello.

If you're here and seeing this then you're officially a member of this little community and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

If you're here and seeing this, you'll have already been all up in the comment sections of my videos over the past couple years. You'll know, in this weird age of disconnection and disassociation, how rare it is to find such a (- I am desperately trying not to use the words 'safe' or 'space', goodness fucking me- ) kind and gentle corner of the internet to comment. Somewhere to say 'I'm ugly crying at 7:13am on the bus' and know that it's going to be received with a hug of shared understanding by a stranger.

If you're here and seeing this, it's maybe because like me, you've been overwhelmed by the sincerity and kindness and universal sense of reaching for something beautiful to pull out of the void of the internet. I find it hard to believe myself but it's real. Real people have created their own group chats and communities to discuss their love for poetry and art based on relationships formed over the comment section, and if nothing else, we needed to remember that. We need to celebrate that.

If you're here and seeing this, it's because we all need some (couldn't do it, I'm sorry) safe space to read and write and laugh and cry together. 'I cry to Lucas Jones poems' was a joke, then a T-shirt, then a deeply humbling revelation. So here's a place to pull up, pour out and say yeah yeah, I cry at that shit too.

Can't wait to see what happens and what you write and who writes it. Bang bang, fireworks and explosions, a billion tears of gratitude, see you on the beach.

Love ya x
